My Story

Everyone has a story. Mine’s not as exciting as some, but since you clicked this page, you want to read it.

First and foremost, I am a daughter of the King. He is my Lord and Saviour, my everything. The purpose of my life is to bring God glory. That is the goal within all my other goals.

I enjoy doing many different things. I love to write, and will hopefully be published one day, Lord willing. I also enjoy photography and find great pleasure in taking pictures of nature. Sometimes I express myself through writing, poetry, and art. I am a naturally active and love to dance, run, climb trees, and figure skate.

Writing is my passion. I carry a notebook with my nearly everywhere, or am sitting at a computer word-warring with a friend. My favourite genres to write in are fantasy, science fiction, and historical fiction. I’ve been writing for several years now, though am only really learning the technique of my craft recently. Soon I will have a fantasy novel in progress, and I have plans for future sci-fi and historical books.

I love to do crazy things, like wade in random mud puddles then go inside and dress up for a tea party. I am a tea lover, though I frequently forget about my drink and it goes cold while I am writing. Then I heat it, forget it, heat it… I think you get the picture. This happened countless times during NaNoWriMo.

I am a nature lover. Sometimes I am taking pictures of it, other times I am wading through creeks in rubber boots or canoeing on peaceful lakes (Yes, I’m Canadian). Sometimes I’m sitting in a treefort, or just any old tree, writing. I also love animals.

Reading and memorizing the Bible is something I try and do actively. There is nothing quite like spending time in God’s word. I hope to one day serve God in whatever work field He decides to place me in. Some of my favourite Bible verses (as there are way to many to count):

For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates to deviding soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
– Hebrews 4:12

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed.
– 1st Peter 4:12-13

I hope you enjoy my blog. I post poetry, photography, art, writing, thoughts, reviews, and other random things.

To God be the glory,
